Yep, as the title implies.. Cant Remember S--t. Really! I sign in every morning and it says I have alerts. Someone quoted this or likes that... Then I think to my self, did I even view a thread called .... then If I remember the thread, its what did I write or quote. Tell ya this getting old thing sucks.

Guys will ask for parts or pictures of something here and on FB. I have every intention of following through. If I dont get up that second and walk out to the shop and do it said thing will probably not happen. If I do remember later I cant remember who it was for.

In my business I dont schedule service appts for no more than a few hours ahead. I'll simply forget. I tell the prospective customer I'll be there in 1 hour. Not only cause I want to provide great service but because I'll forget. People call and ask if I can set up an appt for next Tuesday at 3pm. Will tel em to call back an hour before they are ready and I'll be there. I hate this but my memory dont seem to be getting any better.

I can't be alone in this. Also dont think its just age, well, maybe it is. Sometimes its funny but mostly just annoying.

You're not alone Briz. I have been afflicted with CRS for decades now.

I was working on my truck and needed a tool . I walked back into the garage to get it. When I got in front of the tool box I forgot what I went there for . I figured I would go back to the truck and see what I was working on and maybe it would jar my memory . When I got back to the truck I couldn't remember what the #@&% I was working on . CRS at its best .

And I'm not even 70 yet

Hey Briz... on the alert deal on the forum, If you hover over the alert, and click on it, it will take you to your post, or at least pretty close to it. The rest we'll attribute to Bain Dramage !
I may need another Briz Pipe! ws

You simply have to start writing things down.. I used to wonder why my Grandpa had a little notebook with him all the time... I don't wonder anymore.

Or use the record function of your cell phone to make notes. But then you have to remember to listen to the notes you put there...

I use 3X5 index cards, (paper brain) a few in my pocket most days to stay on track.
Nothing wrong with that. I hit 49 and the notes to myself started :D

Age. Short-term is first to go. You have to come up with "helpers." What was this thread about?...:)

    TrunkMonkey Totally bananas

I use "Color Notes" on my phone for things. It is like "post it" notes and has either a text field or a checklist. And you can have as many separate notes as you want.

Just wait till you start writing a grocery list out,
Then walk out the door with it still on the counter where you left it.

    Focus... is the key!

The options are few:A) Can't Remember Stuff or B) Die And Forget It All.
Personally, I'll take option A... at least for now... I think...

That is a monthly occurrence for me......Auto parts, too. I get to NAPA or Oreilly's and have no idea what I went there for. I usually just buy a can of brake clean or black paint so I don't go home empty handed........

Jeez I resonate way too much with that one. Explains why I have 5 bottles of brake clean on hand all the time

Happens to me all the time. I'm not sure if it's my short term memory that's going, or I just have too many things going on all at once.

I know I was going to help a fellow board member here just now.
Can't for the life of me figure out what I was going to do for him. Something about a Cadillac or something.
Maybe it'll come back to me, but I doubt it.
