Thats right I couldnt drive a 1000 miles so I got a 12 pack, turned on some music, turned a few wrenchs and 4 hours later::laugh: http://s1119.photobucket.com/albums/k631/66convgs/?action=view¤t=101_1621.mp4
since then I put my short block from Joe (gsgtx) on the engine stand. Added heads by bob, Tom T rockers and starter and topped it of with my 950 Quick fuel.
Poeple will say I am crazy but my factory four speed stuff is on the shelf till I restore the car. I am installing a Eelco adaptor and 2004r. I thought some poeple might like to see how this adaptor kit works. More to come:TU: <a href="http://s1119.photobucket.com/albums/k631/66convgs/?action=view&current=101_1638.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1119.photobucket.com/albums/k631/66convgs/101_1638.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
I wimped out and drove my 300 cid/ 5 speed Richmond Special the 20 miles to Yardleys Picnic due to the rainy forecast. Wanted to take my dual-quad-425 Astro Blue '66 GS, but didn't want to get it dirty. o No: I'd say the auto-4spd is a good choice for performance applications! I went with a 5 speed behind my (Red GS)401 build, and it's tough to drive it to it's potential.....just too much shifting! You still using the Poston NH400 cam? How much head work did you do?
I am in st louis so of course a Bud product. "bud light". Walt I left the nh 400 in the other engine. I now have Joe (gsgtx) old short block. 425 +28,comp cam, dont remember the # on it off hand. The same heads I had before,i did a little cleaning up on them. Also I might add this is a whole differant drive train. I am going to be testing the eelco adaptor with a extreme automatic 2004r by lonnie diers and a 8.5 with 373 posi from board member Ken (techg8). This should get fun in a couple of weeks.

Its been awhile but I am kinda slow and after work it was to hot for the garage this summer. BUT I did get it started and timed today and does it sound good. I wont take it out for a ride till I hope next weekend. I gotta say this is the best sounding nail out off the 4 I have run. It sounds awesome.:TU: More pict. or a video to come
For those that might be interested, the eelco adaptor has worked good on the runs around the block and down the street. It lined up very good. It is very tight on a a-body. I took it out again today and even though I can only give the car half throttle( I will have that fixed by spring) it has the tires spinning like they are on ice. and these are bf goodrich drag radials.I have to say this engine and set up is going to be VERY healthy.Iam moveing very slow on this latly, working on a 340 and a nailhead project besides my car:TU: can you say :3gears:
You can see a pile of empties on the file cabinet. That's why I have a kegerator in the garage. Running out is rarely a problem.:Brow:
