17054900, google it and it says for a 68-74 buick. i tried another website that it didn't even come up on. this carb was a reman installed in the early eighties. my gs is a 1972 350 automatic. I would like to have rebuilt by the member here that restores them but not this one if ifs not the correct one for my car.

The correct carb number for a 1972 GS 350 is 7042244.

So , not the correct carb , but is it still an 800 cfm model? Just curious, could help OP sell if he isn't using. Jim/Rott

If you gotta have one rebuilt, might as well get the correct one for your car.

thanks for the reply guys, the info I have learned on this site is invaluable.

ok, im rebuilding my original 350, trw forged pistons , 290 TA cam , TA dual plane intake, SS valves, dougs headers , whatever torque converter I want, probably 3.42 gears. would this carb be an improvement over the original 750 cfm?
