Correct color on rear brake drums

    I know most everyone does black, is that how they came? Or were they the grey/ silver? I am try to get my 72 as close to correct that is possible. Thank you.

    I believe if you had rally wheels the drums were natural and painted black on the face. This way you would see black when looking through the spokes of the rally wheel.

    While we are thinking about this area- what color were the rear brake backing plates?

    Factory assembly manual specifies flat black on outer surface of drums and discs only when sport wheels were ordered.
