Cool gauges that fit a Buick

I just purchased a set of the 3 3/8 quad autometer gauges for my 71 GS. I was wanting something that looked new but did not want to hang stuff off of the dash or A pillars. They are listed in the street rod secton of the autometer book. I bought the designer black series. It is a two gauge set, but then I bought the matching tach. The three gauges fit perfectly in the Buick holes. The have domed lenses, therefore I will not use the plastic lense. There is an electric speedo, tach and the quad gauge which has a fuel gauge, oil pressure, water temp and volt meter. This should provide a nice clean look. Just thought I'd share.
    Thanks, Allen

Definitely... I'd like to see pics! I didn't know that the quads would fit in the holes... thought they'd be too big

I will get pics when in the dash. The bezel is off being refinished right now. The 5' quads are too big, but the 3 3/8 work nicely.

If they look like this, they are VERY cool...

Frank, that looks great! Good thread, by the way, I've been looking into options for my '71, I too found that a 3 3/8" guage fits nice into the Buick cluster. But it didn't look as good as yours!

The Sport Comp,Pro Comp wont fit in the holes as well as the ones like posted above. These are in my racecar and I needed to trim the hole so the silver part would go in flush. I like the look though. After all its just an Old Sklark racecar...

I will post part numbers tomorrow. Those are the gauges except I have a digital odometer. Maybe that speedo was mechanical. The one I ordered is electric, I bought the mechanical to electric adapter for about $60.00
I will get my invoice and post all the numbers tomorrow. That does look good. Allen

this is the setup i'll also be using
except the quad gauge(autometer signature black series) will be on the right, and the 8k tach will be on the left
both tach and 160mph speedo are autometer traditional chrome series

    Pat,

You can take off the outer silver ring (cut it off) and I know the tach at least will fit flush. I posted a thread on this a while back.
