I was thinking about buying A set of points for my local Napa, and was wondering if they are any good.I looked on their website, and they sell standard ,heavy duty ,high RPM,and some more.

A good quality points set will have a screw to hold the condenser and ground wire. The cheaper ones will just use spring tension to hold the wires in place. A 'high rev" set just has a heavier spring tension so the points don't bounce at high RPM. Too heavy a spring and it tends to wer down the rubbing block causing you to have to constantly readjust the dwell.

Ive had success with the Standard DR2270XP points. They're excellent quality

I took my car for A nother ride, and when I got home with the car n park I could hold the gas steady and the miss was back. The miss went away when I adjusted them, the other day,so I think the problem is in the points. I just wonder by me running it befor with the wrong dwell (bad gage ) I damaged them.
