I'm looking for suggestions on what is the best way to restore the console medallion on my 1967 GS400. When it is lit from behind, you can see many small scratches. Is it simply a matter of painting the backside, taking care to keep the edges paint free?

    Thanks.

I don't have an answer to your question, however, these folks might. You can find them on Facebook too if you're on there. They do phenomenal work. The gauge restorations they post are excellent (brand new looking).

Question for the v8 crowd. If you have a 1970 with a 4 speed and mini console, is this typically illuminated?

Thanks, I always wondered since the back has the holes for lights but figured it was for if you had a tachometer. Thanks
