But it’s 100 percent of the liberal politicians that want to take the guns away so you are cutting off your nose to spite your face

Gents, though its been mostly pleasant, I respectfully request we dont get too far into the general "liberal vs conservative ideologies" things and cause this thread to be shut down. It's happened many, MANY times here, and this is a thread with good facts concerning firearms, not the politics applied to them. I'd hate to see it disappear, it's been a good discussion related to the mechanical aspects of an object, not the stigmas applied to them.

Yep, the guys that want to argue with each other should start a private conversation. Plus, we pretty much already know what each other's political views are (some very apparently), and we get it. Back to guns.....that P.O.S. 9mm Hi Point I posted a while back hasn't missed a beat in 1500 rounds and I've abused/neglected the bajeebus out of it. Not going to say I love it, but it's a funny piece to have next to my nice stuff, goes bang everytime, is shockingly accurate, and has it's place in my backpack or tossed under the seat of whatever car I'm in.

And here we go....some folks just can't let it go, have to get the last word. Good grief.

Another thread circling the bowl for the same old bullsh.....

Rise above it fellas, dont take the bait. And as Lucas said, if you want to bicker with each other, by all means send a pm to the individual (I'll be glad to show you how to do it). The rest of us aren't here for that.

SHARP!!! I had a gp100 with the wood inlay grips (same barrel length but not stainless) and it's one I regret letting go.

Anyone with a D. Didn’t you watch a debate? I’m pretty much fine with this but jeez.

Thanks Shawn. I've got a lot of "nicer" pieces, but nothing will ever replace my GP :). Did a trigger job on it and now it breaks better than even my 629. Like breaking glass they say. Had the standard Rosewood inserts that they came with when I got it, but found a guy on a Ruger forum that made the silverwood inlays for me.

Looks nice! Has it been polished? The metalwork doesn't seem to be as "satin" in the pictures as they usually appear.

I've got some other .357's, but nothing has yet quite filled the void of my GP.

All my stainless hand guns are mirror polished, I'm just that kind of guy (look at my cars haha). I've got every Clint Eastwood movie made and the Deadwood box set. Grab a 6 pack, a can of Mother's, a microfiber, and pop in a Western. Two hours later........

Stainless is sharp but for carry it attracts attention.

Being a little on the plump side I like lite and easy to carry, and inconspicuous as possible! :)
It is harder to conceal in the warmer months I find?

So ? Is restricting from state to state a "modification" ?
We need to wake up! I love cars as much as anybody? but if they can modify the 2nd amendment they sure can restrict our old cars !

Ooooh really. Here's one you should like Lucas. This is my S&W 29-2 44 mag pinned and recessed with the target trigger/hammer/grips. Same configuration used in the Dirty Harry movies. It walked in to the gun shop I worked part time at, fella inherited it and didn't like revolvers. When I saw what it was, I had to have it due to my Clint Eastwood/Dirty Harry fandom. I shoot it once in a while, but I really just like looking at it. Haha. Along with my M1 Garand and ww2 German issued Mauser action, it's just holding a cool piece of history.

Its the Toyota Camry of guns. Boring and ugly, not 9mm Hi Point ugly, but still ugly. Totally reliable though and will eat any ammo you feed it. You could probably throw it down a cliff, pick it up and it would still fire off the whole mag without jamming.
