I've met and had a brief conversation with hickok45. He's as mellow and friendly a guy as you could imagine.

I want to go get my carry permit. Soon I don’t carry. I have no guns. I hunt only with bow and crossbow . Love guns have no use. For guns . Pretty good with sticks. Check my Knoebels campground photos. I have (2) Pitt bulls best security system you can invest in.

Just bulky and limited rounds. Long slow triggers unless you modify. And long slow triggers make you pull your shots low and miss.

If you are looking for a small 1911 style weapon in 9mm then the Sig P938 fits the bill. Available in many finishes and styles. I like the Extreme the best.

We talked about that gun a couple pages back. With the recoil it's just too small for my hand, even with the 7 round pinky rest mag. I find the 238 more manageable at that size.

In Mass there really aren't a lot of options for compact 1911s. Wish Browning would make a MA compliant 1911-380

CONNECTNROD RIP Tom , miss you brother

Sig P226 9mm stainless, high capacity. Fits my hand nice, and with 17 rounds,,,, well.
If its good enough for the secret service its good enough for me, although they probably use 40 cal.

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

That's what I carry. Wife picked it out for herself, the decided it was 'too bulky'. After using it to get her CPL, she bought a Smith & Wesson M&P 380 Bodyguard. She also has a taser.

I really like the Kimber. They say its like a Ferrari tho, real precision fit. you have to keep it very clean or it gives problems. Any truth to that?

Dave, you may be further from work if you jump the border to NH, but you will be closer to the dragstrip!

I'm 8 miles from the track with access to a friends large wooded lot (150+acres) ,complete with a small sandpit to practice/shoot.
My big ugly Glock carries 18 rounds in extended mags. I have pretty big hands, so the "pinky"extension is great for stabilty wether 1 or 2 hand shooting. Live Free or Die......Jim

Yes. I also carry the Kimber Micro 9 and you do need to keep it clean. If the bullet does not want to chamber all the way in, it is time to clean it. Because it is a stainless weapon, I have been told that it requires a few hundred rounds to break it in.
I have only shot around 150 rounds through mine. Shoots good and it is an ideal size to conceal carry.
