So my situation with defective tires was resolved to my satisfaction with Coker so far. When I called Coker and talked with a rep by the name of Philip, I explained the situation and all the testing and looking we had done with the car to determine if we had a suspension problem, driveshaft issue etc. Told him about swapping wheels/tires from another car and wobble went away as further proof there was something wrong with the four BFGoodrich P215 70 x 14 red lines. He ask that I take the wheels/tires to a tire shop that had a Road Force balancing machine for a read out on each tire. He suggested a Firestone Tire Store close to me so I took the four wheels/tires to them. A Road Force balance machine puts a dynamic force on the wheel/tire combo as if it were running on a road with weight. I has measurements that are fed into a computer and the tire is scored by the machine. Anything above 35/36 rating is not good. As the tech put the first wheel/tire on the machine axle even before he tightened it up he said "this tire has radial belt separation". He called over two other techs and said "what do you see when you look at this tire?". When you looked at the tire before spinning it you could see the high and low spots where there were 'pillows' in the tread and the middle of the tire was a concave center portion. Bottom line, each tire had belt separation and the scores were all over the place. I called Philip at Coker and had him speak to the tech regarding the problem and I took photos of each tire (see below) in the machine to illustrate the problem and even took video of the worst one spinning. You could see the unevenness as the tires spun. Philip agreed to replace the tires with new ones not of the original lot as he said they had a new shipment that had just come it. As of today I have my new tires mounted and on the car and the defective tires are on their way back to Coker by FedEx. Coker will be reimbursing me for the testing, demounting of the defective tires, mounting of the new ones and balancing. Assuming reimbursement and credit to my credit card once the defective tires arrive at Coker in Tennessee, it has been a satisfactory resolution to my problem. I suspect, although I never asked, that I was not the first one to call with this particular tire problem. The tires were bought the end of March 2017, mounted in April, had only 113 miles on them so it was not like I had abused them. I had one trip on a freeway in the late afternoon where the pavement was probably very hot but I have no idea what caused the belt separation. The new tire tread is perfectly flat across the tread as it should be. I will be testing the new tires on the car next week after I add new sway bars front and rear. T

Went to a car cruise tonight. Felt so good to get out. Met an ol' Buick member. Mr. Schmitt. Use to be an board member Buick Performance Group. He has a Black on black Stage 1. He knows all the long time members and Dennis Manner. Good night Talked to some old time chevy gearheads . That were talkin bout Drag Racing down on Banksville road . Hot spot back in the day . For street racing. He starts talkin bout. Electric Banana. I'm like Whaa! He said you know the yellow GSX with the black strip. I'm like OOHHH. He said while the guys were stuff'n their faces with Big Boys In the Eat n Park. The cops where pullin coil wires under guys hoods! Hilarious! So he goes on. Them Stage1's were the Quickest. He said I will never forget! That electric banana pulled up beside a Hemi and smoked him! He said the guy in the hemi kept going. Left. That guy in the electric banana came back and said I had my A/C on the whole time.
That's why Hugger and I. Try to convince people to single stage solid colors. Then clear over. It makes the solids "POP" wierd.
They were never on rims before. And no one bid on the eBay auction. So I got a deal The ones that are perfect will only go up in price over the next several yrs.
