Lookin for afordable options on cleaning up body trim on my 68 lark. It looks like some guys just remove it. But I’m interested in what others have done to save it or refinish it. Im planing on have car painted and would want to put crappy looking body trim back on with some spicing up.

The stainless steel trim can be cleaned up with 0000 steel wool.

Or if you are removing the trim anyway, get yourself some buffing wheels and a buffer, some black emery compound and some white rouge compound and spend some time turning the stainless into a mirror.
