    Got a question:
The flanges of my head pipes are mounted different. I wonder why. Is there a trick to it? I would think the flange in the right picture has the correct orientation. Am I wrong?

In order to change one or the other I would need to cut the pipe and re-weld. Worth the effort?

The one on the right is correct. Try it the way that it is now. If it doesn't leak, you're good to go. I don't know if you are going for an original look or if you even have the room, but they sell split flanges. While it's off the car, it would be easy to use a cut off wheel to cut the flange and install it correctly and weld it back together.

Slide the one on the left off pipe and turn it around.

Superman could do it, I can not, the welded seams are stronger than me.
Great idea, thats what I probably will do. Less hassle than cutting and rewelding the pipe. Thanks

As long as it seals I'd leave it:D
