These chrome pens work GREAT! Different sizes make it easier to get into tight spots.

Why do the Cragars rust like that? Mine are in the garage 90% of the time and are starting to rust in the same area.

They are probably in your Hobby Lobby Bill, they are hard to find. They are not with the model stuff or paint pens. Even the salespeople don't know where they are! Because zombies love 'em...

My case is male dogs (3) which is why I don't park on the driveway too long. I don't know what the PO's deal was. These came that way LOL... The chopper tires and anything else is free territory too! I think one part is the dissimilar metal thing between the allow center and steel rims. I did use the chrome pen with a "delicate" cleanup with a Dremel grinding bit to make the area silver and then paint. I was told these pens are alcohol based and aren't entirely weatherproof but mine look good after a whole year of use.

I looked all over Hobby Lobby but couldn't find them. Ill do some research here for a HL part number and then hit the store.

The pics are the grinding bit and a test patch on a chrome plated desktop stapler. Pretty reasonable job of camouflage! I just checked mine at my desk and after a years its still as fresh as a daisy! ws

Jan, I bought Burner Chrome and Gold by Belton Molotow, and paintet my sons bike.. It's really strong, and they are cheap as well.. Got them in 600ml spray cans, but you can get them in 400ml also, and I bet the Danish importer will get the pens for you as well..

OHC JOE... make sure you wire wheel those lug nuts and paint them too! Id do two coats, lettem dry, then tighten them by hand with a 6 point socket (less rattle to offend the fresh paint). You can probably do a good job of blending in the area the lug nuts seat against as well.

I think this winter I am gonna prep each wheel with some attention to detail, and spin each one on its hub and apply a "stripe" around each rim line so it blends in even better. Id do a spinner on a table in front of me to do them flat, but I don't have a spare hub or way to mount it to roll the wheel. Id even consider a black or red pinstripe (with a good epoxy paint) around the area for a bit of hillbilly bling(!), but that's just me.

The trick to a good job on your pop's car is the prep. That Dremel will get he rust out and down to silver shiny steel, then paint them. Don't just go over the rusty areas with it... ws

Greetings Sren... As shown above, Ive used the Liquid Chrome, but what is the Burner Chrome? Ive been looking all afternoon at stuff and cant find the LC in anything bigger than 4mm tip size. I like the 15mm but not too sure about the results. Any feedback on that stuff?? Ive also seen gold and copper. Could use one of each for restoration projects... Bill

0410hrs was a tad early to decipher the MOLOTOW site, but I will say its super fast loading and easy to navigate! The main question remains however; is the Burner Chrome the same as the Liquid chrome only is a spray can? $7.99 for a medium sized spray can (400ml) seems pretty reasonable, when the smallish pens are around $10-12 each! It was kinda weird that the site was really promoting its product to "professional taggers". Ive seen tagging with some outstanding colors; could it be this brand? LOL...

The local Hobby Lobby here only carries the 1 & 2mm sized pens in the LC and cant/wont order from the manufacturer. I have had good luck with the durability factor so far. Time is the real test on that one!

A big thanks goes out to Lucas war hero for helping me get my project going! I owe ya pal!!! ws

That's what we have in a smallish town. Its the Walmart of the hobby world and being Christian owned, they are always closed on sundays. Never had a problem other than that. ws
