Yep, Xmas just came early! Thanks to a Harley buddy in Miami who has just picked them up for me, I have scored these parts for my 68 Wildcat. The highlight being the two taillight lenses. Mint. Never used. They are incredibly rare ... as you will surely know, they fit 68 Wildcat only, no other Buick of that year even. (The ones on my car are well worn).....

I paid damn good money for them, but I did so knowing I may never find another set like this. And I have been offered other tail light lenses in average condition for not a lot less. The other bits were cheap as chips., apparently unused also. The seller's grandfather once had such a car and apparently bought and stored a few spare parts he never used. I salute the guy who invented the onecraigs.com web software that allowed me to grab these sitting on my laptop in Melbourne!

Kinda hard to convince a Spanish-speaking guy in suburban Miami that you are not a spammer when you call from Australia to buy these bits LOL. And it took him 3 weeks to locate everything I wanted.....but I am stoked, as we say down here! ;-)

Great score Dave well done. Have I seen you out an about ? I've got the blue and white 61 Bubbletop (live in Mt Martha). It's my daily so it's on the road all the time. Can't recall seeing you at any cruise nights etc, would love to see your Buick. I know a bunch of Buick guys down here same boat, trying to score hard to find parts and nab em before the locals in the US do...

Way to go! I've often wondered if there would be enough interest to have reproduction lenses made for the '68 Wildcats since they are so hard to come by. Doesn't look like you'll be needing any though!

Hey Chris, we are sure to meet up....I am in Rosebud! I work til 8pm in the city so cruise nights are tough for me, but yeah, I have it on full rego and drive it a lot too. I didn't buy it to hide it.

Nice to find stuff like that. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable than I can confirm- those round marker lights sure look like the ones on my '68 Skylark. Is this the case- Wildcat is the same for these? It would minimize searching for other people as well.

    Great score!

I had no idea that hose things were that scarce, there used to be 3 or 4 '68 Cats at the local wrecker. Not sure if they exist anymore, the yard won't let people wander around anymore and lost a ton of their old clientele.

The marker lights were all the same for 68, I believe...but only for 68.

At least the round jobbies would be available as a "Skylark" part, which seem to be more available, if people were searching for another size car's parts. That was why I brought it up, just trying to help for the future.

NICE SCORE Mate, yah lucked out on CL - sometimes persistence pays off !! :beer
(. . . '68 rear quarter marker lamps are common to all the '68 models, and are a one year only part. :TU:)
