Choke butterfly won't close 'sometimes'

    it sounds like the choke coil is bad.

    I took that apart and it wasn't broken? And I could adjust the choke lean/rich condition quite easily with twisting the housing.

    Problem solved..

    Heat riser tube leading to choke thermostat had come out of the manifold.

    I really need to set up more lights in this garage..:mad:

    The coils can weaken over time and not move on their own like they're supposed to. Looks like you found your problem. :D
