Cheap sound deadener like dynamat

Based on posts I read here, I found 'Quik Roof' at my local Home Depot

I covered the package tray and behind the rear seat and the rear seat pan.




It stuck really well, conformed to the shape of the metal, cut easy with scissors and had no smell (like other petroleum based roofing products)

WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

I had just put in package tray and trunk divider insulation too but this stuff worked well.

I tapped on the car before and after putting the Quik Roof in place and the sound was noticeably better.

If you ever have to take your interior out, pick this stuff up to have on hand.
I think I'll take the seats and carpet out to add more to the floor pans.

 

my brother uses this at his stereo shop unless the customer says no...

I used the exact same stuff when i did my interior, worked great!

 

i just redid my whole floor in that last month! took 3 rolls i think, about $50 total, including the full can of sprite used to roll it down. :TU:
worked great, stuck well. i read about it on a hotrod forum and said what the heck and gave it a shot

 

I was always concerned about any smell and possible melting or oozing.

I will have to consider this. Saving money is good, but let me know how this works long term.

Month 4 and no smell
It had no smell when I installed it.
