A while back I found two sites that either had a cheap rebuild kit or forged pistons. I called TR and was told that the $175 gets you a full set of 455 pistons. I specifically asked if they were hypereutectic pistons and was told no, that they are forged!!!!:jd: Flatlander has a master rebuild kit for the 350 at $289.99, 455 $475, and $700+ for Speedpro forged 455 master rebuild kit!! Let me know if anyone gets told different by these places.
lots of places do carry rebuilt kits...i see them on ad pages in car craft and such. i'd have to wonder about their quality, though. i think i would be a little bit suspect of what kind of cam is in it ( basically a chevy grind, i bet), and of other parts that you may need from a place like TA intead (bearings).
