Please read the following below and support Dorian through your attendance. This would be a great time for the Buick community to go to a show at the end of the season. I will be there with my GSX. Hope to see all Buick members in the KC area there.

"On May 14, 2010 our friend Dorian Comeau was in a catastrophic accident. He sustained major injuries, leaving him with skull fractures, a broken neck and severe spinal cord damage. After weeks of being unconscious in the hospital, multiple surgeries, and painful rehabilitation, Dorian beat the odds and fought to pull through.

Though he has made leaps and bounds toward his recovery, his injuries have left him paralyzed from the neck down and doctors say he may never regain full use of his body.

Even with seemingly insurmountable obstacles in front of him, Dorian is undergoing rigorous rehabilitation and life training at a spinal cord injury center in Nebraska, where he has proved to be the same remarkable person we have all come to know and love. He has managed to stay emotionally strong and surprises us everyday with his awe-inspiring strength and the enduring spirit to survive.

The Pray for Dorian page was created soon after his injury and more than 1000 of you responded, from friends and family to hundreds of fans from the automotive racing community that he has embraced most of his life. He has been deeply touched by the response and is overwhelmingly grateful to all the people who are pulling for him.

As a co-owner of a premiere automotive-performance shop in Kansas City, Dorian had shown a generosity and hardworking professionalism uncommon in the industry today. His 20 years of hands-on experience and an undying love and for all things racing had made him an industry go-to-guy for supercharging and performance, with two dozen appearances in top automotive trade magazines. His reputation for being selflessly devoted to helping others in need is known throughout the local auto-racing community.

To show Dorian how much he means to us, we have planned a Drive to Survive car show and fundraiser to help with the astronomical medical costs associated with his injuries. Dorians expenses include
multiple surgeries, rehabilitation services, a specialized wheelchair, lift accessible van, travel arrangements, and much more. As his friends and colleagues, we believe this is the least we can do for all the times he selflessly gave to us. We are running a fundraiser for him on Facebook. Weve almost hit the maximum limit that it will allow.

We are trying to get everyone to donate at least $10. It doesn't seem like a lot, but if everyone does, we could help Dorian get the equipment he needs. We greatly appreciate those who have supported us. Jason and I cant thank you enough for your huge contributions.

The event will include a car show, food, t-shirts, silent auction, a raffle and at Dorians request, a seat belt safety awareness program. Dorians fund has been established with the Catastrophic Injury Program of NTAF. NTAF is a nonprofit organization that serves the transplant and catastrophic injury community. All contributions are tax-deductible and are administered for injury-related expenses only."
