Harvey screwed up a lot of driving for a lot of people! Especially in Houston... Major flooding and wind all the way up here in north Tennessee too, just not nearly as bad as down there.

Yes, what a mess there. We have family in Houston and they got spared somehow, the water got up to the steps but they did lose the sewer for a while. That will take a while there. Now here comes the next one to blast Florida, hope the help there is ready.

OK, so I added this to the intake to monitor the temps while I am outside the car and under the hood. I did this because my main temp gauge lost the threads due to corrosion.

The other thing I like about this temp gauge it goes down to "0" degrees so you can at least keep track of the temps in the winter time.

When I get a new one for inside the car I am going to move this to the rear of the intake to see if the temps are different.

part number is SUM-350120 summit racing screw-in Engine Temperature Gauges.

This thing was very hard to find if you did not use the exact word for the product you are looking for. That is one thing I hate about their website, it does not know what you are looking for unless you have the exact words.

Now that is a smart idea. All those unused coolant ports on the SP3 makes sense to use a gauge in one. Especially helpful to troubleshoot a faulty gauge or air in the cooling system.

Been unable to get to the track my exhaust decided to get a hole in it. Must have been that snot job I did to 6200 rpm that helped it out. So I need a new exhaust from the headers to the muff's. Plus my medical bill from my kidney stone operation did not help any. I also have old gas in the car and now I am just going to have to take it out. Looks like I am thru for the year. :(

TTT In case you want to know how.

Well this did not last long got to tear it back apart someone sent me a cam so I have to put it in.

This intake makes the car start up so much better than before but maybe those gaskets popping out might have had something to do with it.

Did the car go faster? hard to tell it was very close to the DP intake. I only went to Quaker Raceway to test and I went about the same on the motor and the nitrous went a little faster. This track always has the car going slower so it was hard to tell.

I needed to get to D42 or Norwalk as these tracks were the ones I was going to all the time.

I didn't lose anything in the 60ft so the intake is good there but I could tell the rpm wanted to keep on going after 6 grand but the cam in there now starts to give up at 5500 my new cam is going to let it spin to 6300.

Can I do this it looks like it is hard I never rebuilt an engine before so I am kinda stupid.

I wouldn't use Quaker City as a comparison to any track except itself and other tracks way west of the Mississippi(higher elevation) because of how slow it is.

your right Mike I can't compare that to any track it just sucks there. Nice track but that last 300ft is up hill.
