Well it looks like I need new pads again. I've read here that the ceramics seem to stop a bit better and I need all the stopping power I can get for the boat. RockAuto has Raybestos and ACDelco ceramic pads for about $35 and Advanced has Friction Master ceramics for about the same. Anyone prefer one brand over the next? I can walk into Advanced and buy the pads in stock, so I am leaning towards them.
I got them for my car and did some testing. I wasn't able to find a whole lot on different brands. It may be that ceramic pads are so new that a comprehensive test on different brands hasn't been done yet. Good luck.
