    OK here it goes...

I have begun developing centrifugal supercharger kits for Buick 350 & 400/430/455 engines. I hope to have the first prototype kit available by the GSCA Nationals.

Since many of you have inquired, turbo kits are available as well.

I hope to have more information, possibly website available soon.

    That's Great News Mike!!

Will you be using any of the ATI Procharger models??

I think intercooled boost is the only way to go!!

I just read this after my other post. Are you going to take the fun out of me making a turbo setup for my Buick? Well, nuts. I can't wait to see what you have in store.

I am using ATI supercharger units.

AZ, didn't mean to spoil any "fun"!

    Potential delivery at the nationals?

Be sure to posts some pictures as you progress....

hmmm how much boost can be run at 10:1 compression with TA aluminum heads? Or how do I get the compression down without a new engine? something to think about during those boring moments

    compression

I'm pretty sure you can just throw some thnking head gaskets and that will lower you compression, depending on the thickness. Other than that i'm not really sure that there is a way other than changing pistons...:Do No:

So how thick of copper head-gaskets can be had? .125" ?:puzzled:

    Adam,

With the proper size intercooler, we can set you up with about 10-14 lbs of boost. I would feel more comfortable with 10 psi with that high of a compression ratio.

First though, are you absolutely sure about your compression ratio? Are you using forged pistons? Have you decked the motor or milled the head?

The aluminum head should give you a little margin of safety to run that level of boost without detonation. This is of course a rule of thumb only as every engine is different and there are a great number of factors involved.

Yep, after doing 2 "budget" engines in a row and ending up with dismal compression ratios (damned raised piston-pin height was the biggest reason), the last 2 were carefully planned.

Speed-pro pistons @0.005" deck-height, milled (current) iron heads 0.030" to get to 65cc, and 0.040" extra stroke didn't hurt either  10.2:1 +/- a cc or 2. I could prolly get it down to about 9.5 with some chamber-hogging and thicker gaskets, or the '71 heads I have in the shed even if I don't go the aluminum route. that should give me at least 10-15 more cc without much headache.

    Looking forward to some pictures!

    Adam,

That's some pretty stout compression to be sure. If you haven't already unshrouded the valves (if they are Stage 1), unshrouding will help a little. Luckily, with the benefits affording by using intercooled boost with a carburetor, it can be done.

It will be CRUCIAL that the fuel system is properly set up. We recommend an Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump, boost sensitive pressure regulator, 10 micron & 100 micron fuel filters, 1/2" fuel feed line & 1/2" (or larger!) return line, and , properly modified Holley 950HP for the correct fuel curve. Currently there is no other pump available other than Magnaflow (much more expensive) which is suitable. Fuel system is an option on the kit.

I recognize the importance of getting some pictures up, and desperately want to get that gone. Unfortunately, its going to be VERY difficult to do that before the Nats with development demands being what they are. Keep checking in.

    Just an update.

Blower has been in for awhile, fuel system is trickling in (no pun intended).

Unfortunately, between this and recent illness I do not at this point see any way to have a prototype available at the Nationals. But we will try anyway:).

I have new e-mail address although website is still under development.

First off, thanks to everyone who stopped to visit at the Nationals and talk about the supercharger system a little. I really enjoyed doing it and got to put at a lot of faces with names.

Next year we hope to have a much better display, possibly some parts and a least one car. We may even do an onsite installation.

I couple of you have pretty much stepped up & said that you are ready for the blower as soon as it is done. If I have your e-mail address, I will let you know when the website is up and also when the blower kits are finished.

If you have questions or want to place an order e-mail us at the address below.

    Thanks,

    Stg1Regal Yep Traction Issues!:)

For everyone who didnt get to see Michael and his set up for the Big Blocks.. you missed out on a new venture for the Buick v8s
It looked to be one setup that surely will add some power .
Michael has came up with using a blower hat for the carb and recomended using a small spacer to counter against turbulence and recomended a carb company that will prep any Holley DP to be ran in Boost conditions.
I appeared that he had all the bases covered in my question department. Very Knowledgeable
It wasnt installed on anything but all was there but the brackets to bolt it to the eng..... a awsum set up!!!
Nice also to put a face with the name Mike... just wanted to know did ya buy that $1200 Regal to put your first blower motor in?
Yep count me in on that list for one the first your marketing.:TU:

Well, we had a '70 Skylark to use as a project car, so I fiqured I needed the Regal like another hole in my head. Of course it didn't dawn on me until I got home that the Regal would make a FAR better candidate because it appeared to be in such great shape. I'll probably spend $1200 bucks just on sheetmetal for the '70.

Did anybody get the phone number off that car?

BTW, kits may be finished in as little as 30-60 days!

    Mike,

How much farther away are the kits? I wish I would have known your were at the nats. I would have loved to see what you had. Anyway, I'm ready to charge mine. How much will your kit be? What size of ProCharger will it include? Let me know ASAP.

Well...... I'm still waiting for mine. I haven't heard anything from Mike in a few days, but hopefully it's ready in about 1 1/2 weeks. He's not certain on price yet, and it will depend on the size of the charger you go with.

Drop him a message and let him know what your combo is an how much performance you want out of the charger. He should then be able to give you somewhat of a price.

What kind of motor buildup do you recommend for strength. I have a 72 nos complete short block. I feel the compression with 1970 heads should be ideal for this combo.Any input appreciated
