Have any sets sold recently, how much? How about for a complete Stage 2 setup including Kustom headers?
    Thanks,
    Dan

Kustom headers in any sort of condition are about three times harder to find as the heads themselves.

I purchased my set of 72 over the counter stage 2 heads for $2500
With kustom headers in good shape, From Mark of Eastern performance Norristown Pennsylvania back in 1988.
Today I'd say $5000 and up depending on condition of heads and headers . Did anyone ever start a stage 2 head registry on the board ? There's not a lot of stage 2 iron heads out there .

I was buying some other parts, but I did look at them. They will be for sale soon, once he decides the price. He has the heads,pistons/rods,cam,Kenne Bell valve covers, and I think headers and intake.

I'll be interested what the price is and if they sell, I have the same stuff on a shelf. But you can ask anything, doesn't mean thats what its worth, only if money changes hands do you get an actual market valuation.

Brian, would he happen to be a board member ? If not where do you think he'll advertise ?

I had a pair of the Production Stg2 heads along with a beat up set of Kustom headers that came with the Reynolds car when I purchased it around year 2001. The heads over the years I suppose, were highly modified and messed up. Dave Johnson, who I bought the car from even said I should probably start with a different set.
Mike from TA said I should call Indy Cylinder Head to see if they can fix them. Mike had a set that they fixed and said turned out like new...couldn't even see where they fixed them. Sent the worst head to them to look at and they came back with a price of $5,500.00 to fix both. Sold those for 1K along with the estimate from Indy to someone in Milwaukee Wi.

Then later that year purchased a bare pristine untouched set that literally looked like NOS from Scotty G @ PG. He even checked them for leaks before he sent them out, because as you may know a lot of heads came out very porous.
    Paid $6,500.00 back then.

Around 2009 I was lucky enough to Have Jay offer me a complete NOS Stg2 engine kit minus 4781 carb. But including pistons, cam, intake, slightly used Kustoms, and the preproduction prototype heads that originally came from KB. The heads have nickel welding then machined down for the alternator, power steering mounts on just one end each. Which makes them a left and right hand only head. These were also never ported. And wherever there was the nickel welding modifications, there were stamped numbers. While hashing everything out with Jay, I found out these were engineering stampings from Buick used for recording purposes. Denny Manner had said these were more than likely the heads used by KB to do the testing with on the Reynolds car. How cool is that!
So obviously couldn't pass this up. Along with some trading of KB NOS valve covers we came up with a price. I think Jay gave me a deal knowing the heads would be reunited with the car. Think I paid him $7,500.00 cash plus the covers.

Lucky enough to have both sets of heads (production set currently on the KB/REYNOLDS car) and enough nos parts to make up two full iron Stg2 cars.

Mike Garrison has several different styles of the valve cover decals used by Bell, unless your talking about the aluminum covers, in which case they weren't available till the 80's I think, may be wrong way b4 my time
