Does anyone out there have any pictures of any good looking cars with white interiors? The reason I ask is, my car (68 riv) has a white interior, and is in need of a paint job (green exterior). If I change the color it has to compliment the white interior. Also, most cars that look "tough" have a dark interior in them. I'm sure there has to be some "tough" looking cars with white interiors. Show me your pictures of cars with white interiors. Don't care what color the exterior is, I'm just looking for ideas. What exterior colors go well with a white interior? Brett
Heck, I would think most exterior colors would look fine with a white interior. Except white maybe. That might be too much white.
Most colors go well with the white, especially the dark colors (contrast). I think that the "earthy" colors however are better complimented by an "earthy" or black interior; browns, creams, gold, etc. I love my white interiors though, other than the fact that you can't go roll around in the oil on the car and in then jump in for a test drive  .
I love a good white interior...especially in a black or orange car. Blue exterior works well also. There are lots of pics in the 70-72 cars thread in the Members' Rides forum. Check them out!
I have a white interior in mine but it is kind of hard to see from my avatar and I don't have a digital camera yet.I will try to borrow my moms this weekend and get some shots for you if no one else does before then.:TU:
I have an off white/dark green interior. I like the way it looks, but it is hard to find a matching color. It was originally gold which probably didn't look bad, and it is green now which matches OK, but other than that I don't know what would match. I think if you had a white or a white/tan interior it would look really nice and match pretty much anything, and dark colors look especially good with a light interior, like a dark blue or black.
white interior My '66 skylark came with a white interior and a light metalic green ext. and I plan on painting it the original color again (it had been painted red). I can't send pictures as it is completely disasembled right now but many people comment on how good its going to look when they see the original color in the door jambs next to the white interior. msc66
Is this what you are looking for? Brett, this is not my car, but always thought this combo looked good...
I love the white interior with Blue, my car is cascade blue (avatar) and looks great with the white interior. (I know the 72 GS ragtops didn't come with buckets/console, but it looks cool with them)
Here Is My 72 zz orange stage 1 I have only owned this since October 02. Right now, I have the interior out, new carpet in, Still waiting on new door panels and color correct SEM dye for plastic. I love the white interiors! Love that Orange convrt.!!!!!! Do you know who's car that is? Troy
No idea David, also funny is that in 70 (as far as I know) the ragtops had only 455's as the availble engine. I have heard there are a few 71-72 ragtops with buckets/console all were SCO cars. I liked the bench seat too, but always wanted the buckets and console. It's easy enough to put it back so no harm done.
Orange convertible Troy, I believe the GS convertible belongs to Mike Mullen who spends most of his time in Bejing China, but enjoys playing with his Buicks when he comes home from time to time. I also have an orange convertible (see avatar) but it is not a standard Buick "Orange"
I don't have a pic to post but my 72 GS is Antique Gold w/ a white deluxe interior and white vinyl top. (woodgrain and carpeted lower door panels) I can't say i like the exterior color all that much but I love that white inside! It really has a "WOW" value when people see it. Plus ot is cooler in hot weather. Of course if it is too hot I turn on the A/C! Brian
Wow Bill, that is an exact duplicate of my interior right down to the power windows and locks! I really love my interior, when clean it is just awesome! I wish my car was your color, I am toying with the idea of changing to red some time down the road and seeing your car makes me want to do it even more :TU: Brian
Brian, thanks for the compliment. Its "vintage red" a Riviera color for 72. Yeah, the white interior really does set it off, and its cooler in the summer, but like you say, have to keep at it to keep it clean. So, you dont a rear defogger, thats funny, because I dont have AC . But thats how it was ordered. I was going to change it to black when I redid it(it was white originally) but I had a 72 GS with a black interior(Sunburst Yellow exterior) and I remembered how hot it got during the summer, so I decided to keep it white. Thanks again.
I don't mind my bench seat w/arm rest either, but I'm much more comfortable in a bucket. I've got a pair of 68 GS400 seats, and new Legendary WHITE covers, and mtg brackets, just need to take things apart and see what work needs to be done. My interior is all black, and hot as h#ll in the summer.
