I thought it would be interesting to show pics of cars i used to own before the Buick bug bit me....not that i dont like "other" brands anymore but im very happy with my current ride, my 70 stage 1 GSX. The 69 chevelle was a Yenko replica with a 427 4 speed which i sold to buy my GSX. The 442 is a 70 w-30 455 4 speed which i owned for about 3 years before getting tired of hearing "you wanna sell it?" and i finally got the right offer.
442 ORANGE INNER FENDERS WAY TOO COOL. HAVE A THING FOR "A" BODIES? I ALWAYS LIKED THE INNER FENDERS ON THOSE OLDS CARS. WAS INTERESTED IN OLDS BUT GOT SMART AND GOT A GS.OLDS CARS ARE COOL TOO.:TU: :TU: PAT
Re: 442 ORANGE INNER FENDERS Man i love them GM A body cars....(ya think?) Olds 442s are right up there with GS buicks for me.
A BODIES I HAVE AN ORIGINAL 4 SPOKE OLDS PADDED STEERING WHEEL IN MY 70 GS. IN MY OPINION ITS NICER THAN THE 3 SPOKE BUICK WHEEL PAT:beer
Here is my first GS that I had. a 1970 GS455 painted in "Hugger Orange" ....... ya, I know....a corvette color.....
Pat, I've also got an Olds 4 spoke in my car. I like the way it looks a little more. They're easier to find, too!
Mike, ya gotta love those Keystone Klassics. One of the first cars I've seen them on that wasn't a Monte!!:Brow:
I always liked them..... and also the Cragar SS wheels that they are making again. The car had aluminum slotted mags on it when I was in school. The car was originally bamboo cream, but I just hated that color at the time.
Here's a few; first a `68 Barracuda (first car, here leaving for college in `81), `89 LX 5.0 (9.2 in 1/8 mile and man what a custom stereo, picture taken ~92), `73 Mercury Capri with daughter Jennifer (2.8L 4-sp auto-cross car, picture taken ~95), Chrysler Conquest TSI (nice car, was before it's time, taken ~97).
Lost pics of a lot of my older cars. But just a few of the muscle I owned in the past. ‘69 GTO ram air III, 69 orange Lemans 4-speed 400 373:1 geared posi, ‘74 454 4-speed Laguna (9 produced), ‘’94 GT-40 351 Lightning, still have’99.5 5.4 factory supercharged Lightning. And know I’m missing some more…
Before I bought my ‘71 Stage 1, I was into German cars. The top picture is my ‘79 BMW 320i and the other two pictures are two different incarnations of my ‘75 VW Scirocco.
