Im sure there are others out there like me , that wonder what ever happen to the cars we had as young kids.
I sold my 68 GS 400 4spd. when i was like 23yrs old, you know the story, new wife, new baby, new job, and no time or money for the toys anymore.
I kept track of it for a few years , and then kinda forgot about it.
the guy I sold it to had several GS's and skylarks back then and he kept it for quite some time.
He passed away a few years ago in a freak accident, God rest his soul, and I tried to find out if his estate still owned it.
Un fortunately it was gone. I just wonder if someone out here in this vast Buick land might have it. Its just a thought but im going to describe it just because im curious!
the last place I know it was , was in Princeton Illinois.
It was a Red very few option, 68 GS 400 4spd. Black interior,
manual brakes. when i sold it , it had a 1970 455 block, from a 70 electra, the original 400 heads, a mild cam, hooker comp plus headers, and a m21 tranny out of a 73 or 4 trans am. it had a 12 bolt posi, i dont remember the gear, out of a 65 or so impala. and ladder traction bars!! thats the only way i could get it to hook!
the rear wheel openings wher opened up for big tires.
I know theres a good chance that its seen the crusher by now , but you never know. i could still be out there.
I wish i had the vin number from it. does anyone know if there is a way to get a vin from somewhere? like old state records or insurance records? im going to try and dig up a pic if i can find one and post it.
all I know is that is was definately a Mopar eater!!
    thanks for listening

Old insurance records will have your VIN on them.

I've often wondered about my `69 Skylark 4dr sdn. I totalled it in 1999 in Phoenix, and it went through an Insurance auction. It was the typical lime green faded. The front end was wiped out. It had ram air through the headlights with a ram air box air cleaner, battery was in the trunk. 700R4 Transmission. 350-4, TA 212 cam, 2-1/4" dual exhaust with glass packs. Home made center console with VDO gauges, Toyota bucket seats. Cragar SS wheels. 12" disc brakes.
