1 of 23 Fireglow convertibles built (20 of them built at Flint), how many of those were stage 1? Decisions, Decisions, Decisions
Dang nab it, dude says he is out of town this week. Now says the car can be inspected on: O4 Feb 06 Feb 08 Feb. Anybody?
Total=306 GS350=156 GS400=127 Conv=23 Only Flint and Fremont used that color. No way to tell how many were Stage 1 cars but I would guess no more than 1 or 2 convertible Stage 1's. Fireglow was not available the entire model year so that brings the numbers down.
Using shaky math, if only 8% of GS400 convertibles were stage cars, (212/1776), then 8% of the 23 FG cars would be 1 or 2. Even if the guy or dealer who ordered the cars were more predisposed to ‘make it really special’ you’re still talking 3, 4 cars? You won’t see another one! Patrick
There also would be some Fireglow converts that were SCO cars and have a "-" paint code, built before "Q" became an official color in the spring. That is what mine is, Fremont built.
Yeah. I still want that car, it's just hard to justify over $20k for it. Never could quite pull the trigger.
Will be a beautiful car restored but it looks like there's Bondo in every panel on the car $ 18.900 is His starting bid.
