Ok, first off I'm a Brit so I have no experience of the different types of bodies. I've seen references to 'A' 'H' and 'N' Could someone expalin all the differences?
For Buicks, the A body was the early Skylarks, GS, GSX. The H body = Skyhawk and the N bodies are FWD later (i.e. 85-87) Skylark-Somerset

You can also use the board Search function (button above) for questions like that :TU: I posted this many moons ago: 1946 -1960: 1961 -1965: 1966 -1970: 1971 -1975: 1976 -1980: 1981 -1985:
Here's some 2 cents worth: In 1983 GM/BMD notified the dealers that the 1984 Electra RWD was to be designated a "D" body. But was still on the "C" body platform. It was to be the last year for the RWD Electra and the decision was to keep the "C" body for the new 1985 FWD Electra. This decision was to eliminate confusion for the dealers. RWD Estate Wagons (BR35) was to change to BV35 with or without trim package BY8. And I do still have this "bulletin" with this and all the other GM model designations in my library. And yes I know "D" bodies were Cadillac. Just thought I'd add to the confusion :TU:
