It has power steering and manual brakes, could the tranny code be a 4-speed code?i spoke to the original owner today,i tracked him and lives in the same address still, the paper work was never switched to the second owner so technically i am the second owner now.

Now its weird. The guy you brought it from never had the car titled in his name and his name was "Ed". The original owners name was "ED".

George, you may have to change your name to ED if you want to keep the chain going with this car..:Do No:

23-525 is the dealer code. I looked on Mark Macoubrie's site and got,
    Martin Buick Inc
    132 23rd St.
    Richmond Calif.

Duane, what's the address for Marks site? I'd like to look up my cars...

George, a 3.36 ratio was standard with a stick. Posi was optional...there's only one way to know for sure::3gears:

Here's the P-O-P breakdown. The owners data is copied from 65, (the 66 book didn't show it)....the vehicle data is for 66....

Note: you should show a code '8' for power steering. Dual Exhaust code '3' apparently wasn't on the GS, as it was standard. And I believe your car was originally silver, not champagne (bummer). Cool that you got the original plates AND Frame!:beer

Guys i first wanna thank you for the info and all,now i have another small problem, the car was picked up and i asked the driver if he had got the keys and he told me there isnt any keys, apparently the original owner never gave the guy i bought the car off keys,so i wind up calling the original owner again and he told me he never gave him the keys because they had been lost, and that the trunk lock had been popped to open the trunk,so my question is now what are my options to get the original keys for the car?what can i do?decoding?any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    George,
Take those key codes to any locksmith and they can cut you new keys for the car (as long as the locks have not been changed).

You have them in your first post, which I took the liberty to edit to keep less than honest people from making their own keys for your ride...

added in edit: I also removed the attachment in another post that had the key codes...hope you don't mind. Just looking out for you.

Oh wow,you can actually still do that?i wasnt aware of this, thanks for looking out on the key #`s,the only thing i`m worried about is the trunk lock,i hope they atleast left it in the car,if not can i decode a new trunk lock?

    Thanks

George, A new trunk lock should have a key with it, or at least a code stamped on the side. Again, your locksmith can make your troubles disappear. HTH

Reason I am asking you, if I can get an uncoded trunk lock is so it matches the glove box lock??

    Thanks
