Can I get a heads up on buying this quick ratio steering box?

I stumbled upon what seems to be a good deal from a private seller with multiple power steering boxes. The one im interested in is a Lee MFG with 12:1 ratio. Here is the sellers description and pictures.

LEE MFG - this has “ LEE MFG “ stamped to it also like the one I’m running in my camaro and I love it, hence why I bought it. Also stamped on the top cover 12:1 with the lock nut. It’s also a 3 turn lock to lock gear box. It has a goldish coating to it. Like an anti-corrosive protectant. Also doesn’t appear to be leaking or anything like that. This box has a 3/4” 30 spline input. ( I could be off on the spline count hard to tell exactly since it does have the flat spot cut removing some of the splines).

The price is considerably better than paying $800 for a new one. Should I jump on this deal? Also, will I need a matching power steering pump or will my stock one be ok?

Edit: My car is a 1970 Skylark 350cui.

    Thank you!

Thank you for the quick reply guys. You guys haven't heard of Lee 670, Lee 800 boxes? I coulda swore they were very popular amongst quick ratio boxes. And thank you for the link @Buicksky

Thank you for the input guys!

For those who have a rebuilt box from Hector, I have a question for you guys.
Aside from making it a faster ratio, did the rebuild take out the dead-space in the steering to make it more responsive?

I went from manual to power steering so i didnt have any deadspots previously to compare.

I offer a money back guaranty if you don't like my box. Just pay shipping back to me for a refund. I think I offer the most cost effective best box with a quality workmen ship. even if you dont have a core at 240 its still cheaper then any other box out there of the same specs of quality.

Don't know if Lee is in business anymore. That being said there was no one better. I might get it just for the history. Tommy was made famous for working with Mickey Thompson on his 4 engine land speed car. You can see that it is a race box by the safety wire on the bolts. You also see some stamping from Sweet. That is another race power steering supplier. I use a Sweet pump on mine. All that being said a nice new box from Hector is probably cheaper and may be a better box for your car. The very best boxes out there now are from Turn One but not cheap.
