If a set of cam bearings was installed in a block and then removed without actually being run, would it be acceptable to install/use them in another build? For what it's worth, the bearings in question are TA dual grooved bearings.

Me neither...... bite the bullet & order a new set.

I assume its because they distort enough to where they aren't as tight of a fit in the block anymore?

I did remove and re-install a new cam bearing IN THE SAME BLOCK, SAME POSITION, before, and I was wishy washy about it, but it turned out fine.
Putting them in another block after having been installed once, ehhhhhh, no, I wouldn't.

Thanks for the responses. I was already in the "it probably would be fine, but why even mess with it" boat, and that's where I'll stay.
