bye bye cavalier

gm just announced yesterday , the demise of the cavalier/sunfire , to be replaced with the "cobalt" .
was a great little car . gm wants to appeal to the younger crowd .
cobalt ? who lays awake at night thinking up these name ?

 

The good names are taken...


Of course, a lightweight, easily modifiable, inexpensive midsize called the Chevy III might sell :Brow:

 

cobalt's not a bad name. makes no sense, but sounds kinda cool.

unfortunately, it'll be going on a 2 or 4 door wannabe japwagon.

 

I could be wrong.... but isn't Cobalt a pretty color of blue?

 

cobalt blue is a dark blue. it gets its name from the element, though.

when you think about it, i guess cobalt is a good name for a new econo car. cobalt - big ugly hunk of metal.
