Found a cool article (on the web at rod-o-rama.com) on Building a Better Buick (Nailhead) which was written by Jeff Tann which I've posted on Buickstreet.com as a service to all us Nailhead fans. The pages are about 200kb so dial up users need a little patience but if anyone's interested in can be found here... http://www.buickstreet.com/build-a-better-buick-nailhead-page1.html Tip: To save it to your hard drive choose File --> Save as... --> Web page complete (in IE). I tried to contact him (Jeff Tann) for permission but never received a response so I guess (hope) it's ok to publish it. I guess I'll find out one day. Until then...enjoy.
Awesome, Bill. But is there something wrong with the page links? I keep getting the first page on all of the links.
Oops! I just made some changes and changed the wrong paragraph in the process. It'll be fixed in a few minutes....standby.
Fixed. Do a hard refresh (shift+F5) to make sure that you pick up the new pages. Why does nothing ever go smoothly...sigh. uzzled:
Building a Better Buick This article is also posted at: http://www.rodandcustommagazine.com/howto/4905/ http://www.rodandcustommagazine.com/howto/4905/index1.html http://www.rodandcustommagazine.com/howto/4907/ :bglasses: JR
Great, the only reason I went to the trouble was that I couldn't find that article anymore. It was originally on their site and then they removed it and now they've re-posted it but on different pages. Oh well. I might save myself some bandwidth and just post a link back to the original article.
Hi Bill I went back into my liabrary and found an old Hot Rod Magazine with a atricle about BLUEPRINTING THE BUICK 410/425. April 1966 issue of Hot Rod Magazine. Several pages of how to do on the nailhead motors. This was in a 65 Skylark GS. Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
It's not this one is it?... http://www.buickstreet.com/buickstreettech-nailheadblueprinting.html Called "Blueprinting Buicks for Action" written by Eric Dalquist?
Hi Bill Yep the same one. There is also another article in the same book " IT WON'T WORK" It shows a picture of a Nailhead with fuel injection, 8 pretty chrome stacks, looks to be in a roadster. Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
Nailhead Alley I'm thinking of creating a page called Nailhead Alley which will have everything Nailhead related on it. Maybe I could use it. If you have a scanner and the inclination send it through to bill@buickstreet.com. Make sure it's large enough for me to reduce (about 1024 wide will be big enough).
