Two weeks away & has a class for everyone. This event has been getting a little larger each year, Try to make it if you can. You know our Buick events are getting fewer & fewer each year. Briz is handling the Buick V8 bracket class. 5 of us going down from Va. Thanks
Larry (the Wizzard) and I will be there. So will Bruno and Bruno jr. with their racecar. Nick Rabi also said he'll try and make it. I urge anyone who has the time to come down to this event as it is really a great time in the South land. See ya'll in a couple of weeks !
I hope this event continues to grow. Wanted to go this year but my son will be graduating college the same weekend.
I will be there. The 71 Stage 1 will be there. Maybe on my 69. Still trying to get it all back together after last years breakdown. Pulled the heads 5 bent valves after the large timing gear exploded.
I'll be staying in Mocksville also. Not departing until Sunday morning. Im wondering if the track has a regular Sat night program they run. If so I'll probably run that also and if not I'd like to set up something to do in the evening.
Will there be a parts area ? If so I may bring some parts to sell off. If not I will drive my Buick over to check it out.
Is this all racing, or is there also a show with it? Is there a flyer somewhere on line about the event? I only live 5 miles from the track over in Mocksville, and this is the first I have heard about it. The guys saying they are staying at the Comfort Inn in Mocksville--that is less than 2 miles from my house! I have a 65 GS 4-speed and a 64 Skylark 4-speed, both restored show cars that we can drive over, but I don't race them. Was over at the Farmington Track two weeks ago watching a buddy race his truck on Friday night. They typically have test & tune on Friday nights with some racing later on, then Saturday is the regular bracket racing day.
It does not matter if there's a show or not, just bring your cars over for us to admire,we always enjoy nice cars.Bruno.
The event is the Turbobuick.com nationals. Richard Clark hosts the event at his house starting Wednesday. I believe the event moves to the track either Friday or Saturday. Last year was the first time for the V8 crowd. I’d love to see more V8 cars show up for this event.
