I can't remember the last time i saw an 8 track tape. my 69 skylark had a factory 8 track in it and a Boston's greatest hits tape spent the most time in it.
That is actually a very fair price. I listen to my 67 a track unit every time I take the car anywhere, it has surprisingly good sound.
Not the same one, the one originally linked was a pristine in original box version and it sold on the 31st of May. eBay has gotten tricky about where they take you. I clicked on the original link and it took me to the page you linked. However, at the top it said: The listing you’re looking for is no longer available. Check out this similar item we found for you. Listing in that sentence was highlighted in blue and clicking on that took me to the original listing.
Anybody here buy the NOS one? If so, I'd love to see the instructions & all the parts it came with. I really wanted it, but don't need it for any of my cars. If I were to add one to my '71, and I might, it sure wouldn't be an NOS one. He came down to $475 + shipping & I just couldn't stick (another) $500 on the shelf for something I may never need plus hopefully someone bought it who does actually need it - there's certainly some cars deserving of such a nice part.
You could be correct Tom. I'm definitely not the expert w 8-tracks although I assumed they were the same '70-72 and was really going off the seller's listing. I hadn't checked the accessory section in my parts book or the assy. manuals.
