After being away from my '63 Lesabre a couple of years, I once again needed a Buick.
Always wanted a '64 Wildcat, and when I came over this I couldn't resist it..

One owner car with original paint, 74k on the clock.
Not sure wich color it is, maybe someone can help me. Is it Coral Mist with Arctic White roof?

Well, have to wait a couple of weeks for it to get to Sweden :)
Will update with better pictures when it arrives!

You're correct on the Arctic White, but the other color is Claret Mist. Nice find!

    Thanks :)

Thanks, maybe it will look more like the photos on google with some rubbing and wax :D

There is some rust on the drivers side, both front and rear fender, but I believe it's an easy fix :)

So, at last, the car came home.
Actually it has been in Sweden for a couple of weeks, sitting in the garage being prepared for registration and inspection.

It was not as good as I thought, a bit more rust but it runs like a dream.

Will get some love this winter, the trunk pan needs replacement, windshield is leaking on drivers side and rear window is leaking on both sides.

Loading here up on the transport:

    Finally at home:

Gave her a wash and the roof looks pretty nice:

Interior is pretty decent, has some defects but for a 54 year old car it's not bad:

Ripped out the old carpet in the trunk, reeks of mold.

Can't stand those wheels, so I bought a set of Cragars 15x8, waiting for spacers so I can mount them on the car:

You'll have a problem fitting them to your car because of the fins on the drums. Not even normal 15x7's will fit.

Yes, I noticed that. But the 1" spacers should give enough clearance :) It will be very tight up front, maybe to tight, time will tell :-D

  11. Great find. I had thought about painting my Wildcat that color but I'm going to stick with the Tawny Mist.

Thanks! Yeah, better to keep it original :-D

Started to mount the wheels yesterday:

I thought it would be tighter up front, but there's no clearance issues :-D

Nice looking car, looks like one that would pop alot with just a good detailing.

Yup, it needs some detailing, right now I'm enjoying it as is. It get's alot of attention when cruising down the neighbourhood :D

Yeah, 64 is one of the best looking year.. I believe I was in a bit of a hurry when I purchased it.. The ad said it was pretty solid.. Sure, the flooring is solid and it's VERY straight but it has alot of rot indeed.. Well, still it's one of my dream cars, guess I'll put some work on it this winter :D
Yo, Try 66431 as postal code, or "Grums, Värmland" :)

  17. My mother bought one new same exact color. It was a 4 door hardtop too. She ordered it with a Super Wildcat engine. 425 with dual quad intake and carbs in the trunk. Dealer installed them before she picked up. That car was scary fast. Luckily, probably for me she traded it on a 69 Electra before I was old enough to drive. I would have killed myself in that thing. Progressive linkeage on the carbs but when you kicked it all the way down it sounded like it would suck the hood in.

So, the winter passed.. Didn't put much work on the cat, life caught up.

But the the last 4-5 weeks I've been working on the rear.
This how's it looks right now, please bear the welds and metal work.

Have fabricated pretty much all panels with a vice, plastic hammer and pliers..
Will need some bondo for final touch but it's a hell much better than before..

Thats odd, the pictures works fine for me :)
It's probably the shared url from Google Photos that fails.
