Thanks @docgsx for introducing me to a whiskey sour. I've never had one. I'm not into mixed drinks. Kinda like Shawn @sriley531 and I like it strait. So I had to keep it manly and tuff guy, so my mixed drink "cup" is the lemonade container. Toast friends 20200420_165937.jpg

    1972Mach1 Just some M.M.O.G. guy.....

Glad you liked them, Brian! What did you use for seasoning?

Doc and Ronnie, whiskey sour is my favorite summer drink. White Russians in winter. I have my whiskey sour a little different, a buddy of mine who passed away introduced me to them, he was a real cowboy type (I have his hat he gave me before he passed).... anyway he always did 10 high whiskey with orange juice on the rocks, triple in a tall. I love them that easy way, but I put just a splash of sour. I'm going to give Doc's recipe a go this weekend if it's nice out :)

Lucas, I grabbed the closest seasoning in the pantry, Lawry’s Seasoned Salt. I’m going to try some other seasonings next grilling session.

Love to eat, hate to cook. Fortunately the bride is an amazing chef. Cooking a hot dog or microwaving a breakfast burrito is about all that I can do without f'ing it up.

OK, so for Mother's Day I made my famous shrimp and lobster Alfredo with spinach and tomato fettuccine! Grilled turkey bacon burgers as well which I smoked with cherry wood chips soaked in corona beer!

my mother-in-law loves shrimp so kept that as the main theme for the Mother’s Day feast!

And, I did a dozen 16-20 size grilled shrimp on a skewer for mom too

First time I’ve seen corn beef and cabbage on the grill! That’s freaking great bro!!

Using cast-iron cookware is certainly the key to amazing flavor.

OK, so my girls like amaretto sour‘s. Here’s the perfect ingredients. 50% Disaronno, 50% Finest Call sweet and sour mix, shake them like martinis and serve over crystal clear ice and add cherries. A52BF654-2AC0-48C1-945A-E123447FE757.jpeg

Before I ever became a telecommunications technician, I was a cook. That was long ago, 1986. I still enjoy cooking. When my wife was pregnant with our first son, she looked at me and said "What do you want to do? You can't be a cook all of your life." I looked at her and said "I want to do what you Dad does." Her reply "That's doable!" Never looked back. My boys enjoy my meatloaf, roasts, stews, and such things. I don't watch Chefs on TV. I felt that might spoil it for me. Besides, I have my hands full learning how to restore my Wildcat. I started clueless, working my way to lost and then, maybe with some luck, passable.

After a fine meal when a customary neat Irish Whiskey or Bourbon is not in order, a Disaronno with 2 ice cubes paired with a #6 Padron hits the spot.

I was home alone last night, so made a simple Ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes with a twist. After making the mashed potatoes, I put it in a small cast iron skillet and then put that on the charcoal grill to give it a crust, while grilling the steak. I almost liked the potatoes more than the steak!
