I'm going to compare old bearings to new, new ones are probably stock style and will work just fine. Car is used only in summertime. Average distance driven will be somewhere around 2000-2500km in one summer.

Oookkk, i tried install the crankshaft with new bearings and assembly grease but soon as i tightened everything in spec, crankshaft wouldnt budge, solid as a rock.
I think i did pretty nice job cleaning everything but i will do it again tomorrow. Also, im gonna plastigauge the crankshaft bearings..

Well yes it is. But bearing cap number 1 was ok when tightened but at least 2 and 3 were binding. Didnt even bother to check last two as it wont matter at this time.
I will check and clean everything again and try to get it work. Or its trip to the machine shop..

    Ok little update.
Block, cam and cam bearings are in the machine shop.
    Maybe 2 weeks there.
Then another machine shop next to it, there is a guy who checks the clearances and grinds the crankshaft for new bearings. Also checks conrod bearings and makes sure everything is in order.
    Little progress in this month.

Block came back and spins so damn nicely. 660euros for everything including assembly. Now its like walk in the park to slap that thing together when i get the heads back.
Im also repairing Mitsubishi Legnum vr4 2.5 v6 twin turbo from 2001 that i bought. It had auto tranny gone boom. Was so cheap car so i had to buy it. [IMG]
