With the 75 or 76 engine, it's probably clapped out.

What do you mean by that engine? It seems to have the 455 it came with in 1970.

Valve covers are blue. They were red till 74 and then blue for 75 and 76 so chances are good it's not the original motor. It doesn't have a title so what can you do with it? Parts car and not a 1,200 parts car. Tom

In my state you can register it without the title and with the 455 you can paint the roads black if you want.

Just because the engine is blue doesn't mean it's a blue block engine. The valve cover says it's still an early 455. Look at the oil filler location.

I'd say it's a deal. most folks on this board only look twice at fully restored cars or nice survivors. for that kind of money I'd be happy to it around

If it was closer to me it would be in my garage coming apart. That's the last year of Electra convertible, and it's got air, which means it's probably pretty loaded up. There's enough crap laying around for the 70 model year to make it a worthwhile risk; - it doesn't look too crusty, not to mention it already has the better motor if it's a 455, regardless of what year it turns out to be, and it runs. There's half the battle there. So what if the motor is the wrong colour? I used to paint my BBB rebuilds Buick green because I liked the colour. The body looks like original paint. The one wild card is how bad is the interior, meaning how long has it stood outside ripped like that? My Wildcat had spent 2 years outside with a ripped top, and it was shot; but with a bit of hockey tape serviceable enough to move the car.
This car is a gift horse; it has huge potential. This is the perfect car for someone who is just getting into the hobby, doesn't have a large budget and is capable of doing a lot of his own work. The downside is that it'll never be worth a tinker's cuss. But as a builder and a cruiser, it'd be fantastic.
    Where is it located?

Acushnet, Massachusetts is my best approximation. The seller will definitely know though.

Oops based on your location that's a 9 hour flight or a 40 hour drive.

Yeah, that's kinda what I thought. Shipping that beast would be at least $5K alone, and then there's getting what amounts to scrap across the border. Ain't happening...
It'd probably be cheaper to put it on a boat and run it through the Panama Canal, and then pick it up in Vancouver with my own rig. Either way, it'd probably work out to the same. Why hasn't anyone invented a Star Trek style transporter yet?

Wish it was in Milwaukee... Id drive it home; in a snowmobile suit LOL... I agree with you marc. To get into this hobby without having 10K to spare makes the pickins' slimmer. This one you could do whatever you wanted to and not offend the darn judges. ws

That's how I got my Wildcat home after I rescued it from the wrecker, it was a little below freezing and I had to drop the top because it was completely shot and would have shredded. It was a cold but exhilarating ride home...

This was about 10 minutes before I took off, March of 1991.
