Since it's almost impossible to find a 12 bolt, 9 3/8" posi rear-end for my 71 Riviera, I'm planning to swap a 12 bolt from a chevy caprice in it, will it fit??? does anyone know wheater or not this is possible

    I don't know if Mike's Riv has a posi...

But I would imagine that The Caprice rear would swap over. Might be a good candidate/guinea pig to try it - as long as the Caprice is of the same vintage.

Depends on who you talk to...

Not too many of them passing hands, so it's hard to take a guess on "worth" or market value. I paid $200 for JUST a carrier with no pinion or ring gear. But I know people who have paid $20 for one, too.

I would venture to say a good bolt-in (complete) rear end would go for $500.

I paid 500 for a 71 9 3/8 with the 3:42 gear ratio, right now it would take a lot more than that to get if from me. I paid 100 for a carrier for the same.

Since I live in Denmark, the shipping cost will be way too much for the hole car  do you think he will sell the "posi unit" only?? will he ship it to Denmark? and how much is the cost???
