    Hey,

If I want to change my old distributor with an newer electronic one and plan to make in future about 500 HP with my engine which ignition would you choose?
On ebay there is some ready to use no name distributors or no name hei distributors also from TA.

The whole system with Msd 6al ignition box + coil + good distributor is a lot money.

500 horsepower out of 430 cubes won't take much more than the stock ignition in top condition--although perhaps with colder plugs and playing with the gap.

You can spend a lot of money...but this isn't something you need to go nuts over. "I" would slap a GOOD DELCO HEI (not a Chinese knock-off) on the thing, make sure that module and pickup coil and ignition coil are in good condition, tune the centrifugal and vacuum advance, and install a low-resistance "button" under the coil.

    Done.

I second (third?) the stock parts recommendation. My first choice would be original points type in fresh condition, curved properly for good throttle response, with a points conversion in it if you want to eliminate points. Second choice would be the real GM HEI all fresh (with Delco parts) and curved. You don’t need a bunch of bright red and yellow aftermarket parts.
