buick 300 ?'s

    I have a couple questions for you guys
    1). does any one now were I can get a set of headers for my 67 GRandsort which now has a 300 in it. I know that poston had the for a while but now they do not sell them and i think it was headers by ed that will sell you the flange but then you have to make the rest your self can I get 215 headers to work in my car.
    2). I looking to make around 300hp out of this motor. It will have to be a sreet engine because I am going to school and right now its my only car to drive I am currently looking for a original 4 barrel intake but after that what do you guys recomend I have a MSD Ignition ANd I am planing to get thier probillet distributer plus a flowmaster exhuast any help would be appreciated

    I have the full MSD ignition - 6A, billet distributor, coil, wires, and love it. Not cheap, but worthwhile.

    Flowmasters are loved by folks who want LOUD exhausts. Depends if that's the impression you want to make.

    For the rest of your questions, the 300 and it's potential has previously been discussed at length on the BCA site's Performance Board. Go to www.buickclub.org, click the Performance board and search on "300".

    Adam, are you sure you don't have a 340?

    Dude, a 350 is a bolt in and there are some good power making parts for it. Heck, the 70 350 GS engine was rated at 315 hp and 410 ft/lbs of torque!
