I want to move my front bucket seats back for more leg room and find that there are several brackets available from TPP, OPGI, and Year One. The one from Year One is much cheaper than the other two and I'm wondering if anyone has used them to know if they work as well as the higher priced brackets? Thanks.

I'm currently running a set of the year ones on my 67 bucket seat car. They work as advertised. Very solid materials. I can't compare them to the other higher priced versions as I haven't used them. I'm somewhat satisfied...wish it was more than 1-2" of adjustment...would like 3-4".

That's good to know but, I see another possible issue with moving the driver's bucket back. The seat adjuster knob is on the left of the seat and only an inch or so from the seat belt cover which is right behind it. If the seat is moved back 2 inches won't the knob come in contact with this cover?

At first I thought I'd found the solution in that thread but, both types of extenders being sold by Year One and OPGI are meant to be installed on the floor. That means that the seat release knob will move back until it hits the seat belt cover. The question, now, is whether the extenders can be mounted where the bucket seat mounts to the slider assembly which isn't the way the instructions say to mount them.

Did you mount the extenders to the floor and then mount the whole seat assembly to the extenders or did you mount the extenders between the seat and the slider assembly?

The extender brackets mount to the floor and the seat mounts to the brackets.

That's what I thought originally. So, my initial concern still applies. The seat adjuster knob is currently only about an inch away from the seat belt cover and it will run into it if the seat is moved back any more than that. Is it possible that the '64-'67 seat adjusters are different than the '68-'72 ones?

Unfortunately, I can't answer that. Perhaps someone else will chime in.
