Did the brown tach wire have a connector in the engine bay after exiting the grommet as shown in the assembly manual?
If so what does that connector look like.
    Thks

This is from the 1970 Chassis Manual,

And a blow up of the connection at the coil,

Sort of like a flat connector with a hole in it. Not sure where you would get that. Maybe ToddsGS. Wonder if the reproduction engine harnesses even have the tachometer connection wire, or the correct coil connection terminal.

    Larry,
    Thanks for pic.
Do you know if there is a pic of the connector after the grommet.
I searched a lot of engine bays on the web but no one has a pic of that connector.
I would be happy to buy that connector but want to make sure it is correct. Not even sure if the m& h
Company makes the correct one because they don’t have an image in the catalog
    Thks Tom
Or I will have to wait for a car show to see one!

I blew up that same picture from the Chassis Manual.

Looks like a bullet connector to me.

Correct? I doubt it. The only places I think might have them are the harness manufacturers like Lectric Ltd or M&H. I would call them and ask.

    Tom,

Your search is complete. This should help.

Note: tach wire should NOT be fastened in that plastic loop. o_O

I found this in the OPG catalog. I'm not confident these are correct.

    On sale, too.

Installing the new main and light harnesses was easier than I anticipated and definitely one of the best things I could've done during my engine build.

No point in chancing a blaze with 50 year old wires.
