Have been working on the GS a little I hope to make a better showing this year at the Brand X Bash '05.

Since Wayne Turner now has a GN (btw welcome to the darkside) to play with I'll be driving the GS this time around and My son Geoff will be driving the GN. Geoff is already kickin a$$ at Redline!

Ok back to the GS. I just had the rearend gears changed
(Thanks BuickDoctor & '71 Buick GS) from what I thought were 2:73's to a 3:42 Posi, it turns out that they were 2:56's. Man what a difference in power it get's there much quicker. :3gears: :beer

I took it to a Dyno a few weeks back and did 200 rwhp, about where I thought it be with a stock 8 to 1 motor. It was running very lean so a Stage 1 Fuel Pump is on order from TA Perf. I do have headers now installed. Also planned is a 150 shot to help it just slightly :eek2: It ran a 14.9 at Temple last year and a 14.6 at Ennis, with the gear swap alone it should be in the
13's. Not sure where the 150 shot will take it? So look out boys the Big Red Machine is coming.

For pete's sake, put a cam in that thing!!!!!!
My motor is a stock 74 bottom end with stock 70 heads and intake. With a mild TA 212 cam it makes 50 more RWHP than yours!!!
If you're gonna do the nitrous thing, talk to Dave Burns (buickdav) (but you may already know that...)

I have thought about a cam, already have checked them out on Postons website, I was looking at I believe that exact one. Maybe we'll see.

I thought if I ever had to go into the motor, I would do the whole thing right and be up around 400hp. :3gears:

Also Talk to Kerry BELL here in Austin. He runs a stage2 464 with 225hp shot of nitrous. He is pretty sharp about the stuff. Let me know and I will give you his number or Dave burns number. :beer

Should make for a good event with all these new cars coming out of the wood work.

I have been looking at cams, headers, gears and a posi for the 350 in the white skylark. Also one of those 100hp nitrous kits.Maybe it might hang with a stock 455.My wife will be doing all the driving this time.I have given her the keys for next season.I am gonna just watch and hang out since the GN will not be ready I am sure. But who knows between now and then?Might have both there.

I dont think I am going to be driving either this year Patrick. Im thinking about taking the entire year off and gearing up for '06. The particular GN I bought I cant just start throwing alot of miles on it, and it is all stock so wouldnt do much good trailoring it and thrashing on it on the dragstrip. The GS.....heck..... who knows when it will be done :Do No: Tired of telling everyone "Next year" . I know one thing, I will NEVER go about it the same way again!!!!!!!!!!!! Mainly bought the GN just to have something to participate with till the GS is done.

Anywayss....... tired of whinning. Main reasons I would want to go right now is (1) see Geoff in the pilot seat (plus hanging with David is ALWAYS an experience) and (2) because I havent missed one yet and Im sure I would regret it if I did. Just VERY bummed about the GS progress :af:

Its a ways off, so we'll see

It's true Geoff will be behind the wheel of the GN and me the GS, but hey you have earned some more seat time I don't mind sharing. :beer

I think you'll enjoy the upgrades I've had done.
Now get that damn GS done

And hey you don't have to beat on that GN hard run it at around 16-17 lbs of boost with a good chip and run high 13's! And if your worried about putting to many miles on it trailor it down. I'll help out anyway I can. :3gears:

I gave him a call a few weeks ago and he told me he is working in a new shop so he does not work with you any longer. In any case I gave him a heads up about the event. Your job is to get him to make it to the event. :Brow: and kill the camaro.

About 4 months ago he went to another dealership, but you never know..... We have worked together at 5,6 or so jobs. May happen again
