    Hey guys,

So I got my brake booster back from rebuild and replate. It came with the new plastic dust boot where it mounts to the firewall. Is there any special way that dust boot is supposed to mount? I can't seem to get the booster to sit flush with the firewall with the cover on. If I take the dust cover off, no problem the bracket sits flush on the firewall.

Thanks for any and all help.

    Regards,

    Scott

Never had that trouble. Can you show a picture? Did one come off with it when you removed it originally?

I will get a picture when I get home tonight. The old cover that came off seemed to seal fine. Not sure if the boot is designed to collapse a bit to provide a seal or what. It seems that the boot doesn’t seat all the way to the booster either.

    Regards,

    Scott

I don't suppose you have the old one to compare against?

Unfortunately I don’t. It was sent to Booster Dewey up in Oregon and I didn’t think to ask for to back.
