Renee Moore is stepping down after this years event. Renee has been Race Director for the BPG for the past 5 years. She has done an exceptional job with working both with myself and National Trail Raceway Staff and the participants. The past 5 years events have run beyond my expectations and her shoes will be hard to fill. I will outline the Race Directors Responsibilities. She will be missed by Racers and myself. Most Duties are at event itself. It would be preferred that someone with Race Experience step up but not required. The Race Director works closely with me and Track Manager

    1. Must be a BPG member in good standing
    2. Must be able to use internet as most of our communications are done on the BPG Website and thru e-mails
    3. Create Schedule for Duration of Event...this is usually posted 4 weeks prior to event date this is usually similar to priors years events unless we add a new Race Class
    4. Update current years Class Rules. I handle the Turbo classes the Race Director does BCO Q-16 Finishline Furious 4 and B1 and B2 Charity Race classes these do not usually change year to year
    5. Track winners and loser during eliminations. the track personnel will assist in this endeavor
    6. Organize payouts to each class...you will work with me on this
    7. Provide list of winners and those that will get checks from the BPG at Event.
    8. Provide list of winners for each class with ET and speed...the track will provide this. the Director will post on BPG site after event and I will post on other Buick web sites
    9. Be able to resolve disputes over rules..The Turbo classes have their own rules and disputes are dealt with within that class. Track Issues are dealt by Race Director...myself and Track Manager...
    10. Post qualifying ladder for each class..the track will provide this
    11. Track Safety issues are to be dealt with by the Track
    12. Be able to co-ordinate with Event sponsors
    13. HAVE FUN and be able to communicate to those involved that the BPG listens..

What about being able to make wicked good slushies? Then again, I think we can still rely on Renee for that!

Thanks for all your years of dedication Renee! It's your turn to race that Bumaro!

I'll still be there to fill the big red container with slushies....and I will (well I hope to) be racing my Camaro this year. First time that I've raced at this event since it moved from Quaker City!

As far as the Race Director job goes....You get to meet some of the greatest people in the world!!
