I'm kinda the same way. I wasn't "enlightened" of the situation till after the fact. I'll schedule around to make it.

It would be great to try and plan a get together with the BPG guys. Heck, we can even do it in one of the hotel parking lots. Me and my brother always take a fridge down to BG so there will be plenty of "soda" to go around.:Brow:

The get-together at BG sounds like a good idea...the BPG at BG. Sounds almost like they were made for each other! Just tell us where and when.

    GSXMEN Got Jesus?

I'll tell ya...between the tranny troubles and the 'rain out' that should have been a BPG get together - I felt REAL bad for MG!! After the torrential downpour, my brother and I headed into Bowling Green to dry out. We both assumed the BBQ got washed out!? Now I wish we had stopped in....:Dou:

The guy certainly makes quite an effort!!:TU: :TU:

Even though it was brief...I was glad to meet Mike G. and JW over at Mike's red trailer!

Also, got to meet Gary a.k.a. GKMoZ, among others. They're all great guys!!:bglasses:

THAT'S the whole point of going to Bowling Green - not just the Buick's, or the town, or the racing, etc!! Meeting as many of the folks here on the board....and several that aren't!

Regardless of anyones opinion of who's running the show, it's the people that you meet and the great running and looking cars that make it worth going!!!

Right after last years GS Nats, alot of us had a bitter taste in our mouthes (so to speak), for one reason or another. I really didn't think I would ever go to another one! Fortunately, several key things have changed!!!!:bglasses: John Chamberlain is a highly respected Buick OWNER - he's now in charge of running the GS Nats!! Looks like enough things have changed to warrant going again!

I'm real glad too...I really would have hated not going. I've only missed 2 years since 1992!!

Let's leave the past in the past....and MAKE the future an exciting thing for Buick enthusiasts!!!

Hope to see alot of you guys down there! I'm really hoping to make it to Norwalk this year too!!! (much closer!!)

At least this time around...we all know to SHOW UP - rain or shine!!!

I'm not thinking of anything complicated or where someone hosts it. And I'm also not thinking of something at the track during the event. What I think would work best is to simply get a head count of who would be interested in getting together for dinner at a some restaurant and what day (Thursday or Friday night probably be best- I vote thursday). Once we have the head count, just call a restraurant or two and see what they can do for us in terms of a banquet room.

I'm in and will bring 3 others with me.

Sounds great to me. A group of my friends used to do this at Mariah's every year, but I think they are out of business now...

    Alan,
I'm not sure but I think the Restoration Clinic is on Thursday night. Also not sure what night the other Seminars are held. It might be better to hold it earlier in the week, or after the Restoration Seminar.

Check it out!....HERE No racing on Friday!:ball: So that's the day to get together!

In fact, maybe we will move the Michigan Meeting back to Friday at the track, instead of Thursday night at the hotel, as I-65 is almost as noisy as the track during racing!

    Restoration Seminar is Wednesday night
