    Hi all,

Here is a chance for all you locals in the surrounding area of Langley, B.C., Canada to meet other Buick owners at this annual show hosted by the Pacific Performance Pontiac Car Club. I plan to be there at about 10 -11 a.m.. I have another event I am attending in Surrey - a vintage audio garage sale - in the morning before heading out to the Show & Shine. I plan to drive my 1976 Regal to the event. It would be nice to see a few of you guys, whom I haven't seen in some time.

Pacific Performance Pontiac Car Club 30th Annual Show & Shine

I attended the car show, yesterday, June 10th. The weather was iffy, so as Sunday is my regular work day, I went to work, then left early when it looked like the weather was going to have a respite from the predicted forecast of possible thunder showers and generally unsettled conditions. I drove my 1976 Buick Regal Sport Coupe the 106 km trip from Squamish to Langley. There were intermittent showers and wind on the trip down, but nothing heavy. I was prepared to clean the Buick once I arrived to the show area. No big deal, because I hadn't attended a show in a long time and I wanted to meet other Buick owners. The weather did have an impact on attendance as it was down by 50% over the previous year's Annual. I checked with the registration desk and 67 vehicles were registered for the show.

The Pacific Performance Pontiac Car Club did a very nice job in the organization of the Show & Shine. There were commemorative 30th Annual coffee mugs and dash plaques in the goody bag (which also commemorative stenciling) along with a few other nice gifts. I couldn't stay until the end of the show for the awards announcement, but I have since found out who won the Best Buick class.

    First, a few pictures:

Of the 67 registered entrants owning Pontiacs, Olsdmobiles, GMC, and Buicks, 9 Buicks were represented. That's quite good percentage-wise at 13+%, owing to the fact the Grand National Racing Association were in attendance.

Lots of nice Pontiacs around for the show, including the one parked next to my 1976 Buick Regal Sport Coupe.
