I am curious... Who is planning to go to Reynolds, GA for this weekend's Buick/Olds/Pontiac challenge at Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds, GA? It has been great fun each year and it continues to get bigger every year as well... I know there will be some very fast GN's there to challenge the musclecars but we should hold our own. Russ, You know I'll be there at the Reynolds BOP since the track is only 30 miles from my house. I'll be helping your brother tune his GN in hopes of some low 12's this time. I will rotate bringing my Buicks and am excited that I have my GS up and running again after another lengthy down time! I hope to see some old friends and make some new ones too! Have a safe trip everybody and be careful on the backroads from the interstate to Reynolds. Ask Russ how he knows first hand about this! A couple of years ago I was testing the old QJ on the GS and had a county deputy stop Russ who was behind me instead of me! Russ got off since he had his young son Nick in the car with him. The law shows a strong presence on those back roads so keep it legal guys! They WILL ticket.
Yeah, I was lucky to have Nick with me, but I really think that officer wanted to check out my GN a little. It went kind of like that cop pulling over the lady in the Cadillac a few years ago ( commercial) while describing the car in detail to her. ( Northstar package) Evans has that gold GS that blended in with the landscape a bit better than a black GN. Anyway, he let me go.
