Was on my home a couple weeks ago and i saw this gray BMW (i think a 320 series...i didn't see any badging) turns the corner behind me on the start of a long uphill and he goes zooming by (nice sounding exhaust) but I kept my distance until a few miles down the road where i ended up behind him at a light. He took off so i sped up and was just pulling up along side him around 100 when we had to slow down for another light. This time we line up, him on the right side, and i downshift into 1st. Light goes green and I'm off. I got ahead and stayed ahead with no problems. I think i shut it down around 80 and he was a couple cars back. We lined up at the next light and we both gave each other the thumbs up and he commented on how nice my car ran. He especially liked the sound of the turbo. From there it was smooth sailing the rest of the way home.
Then, a couple days ago, I see this brand spanking new black Zo6 Stingray zooming up from behind me and right when he got even with me I mashed the throttle enough to get the turbo to spool up and lurch forward to stay even with him...when the blow off valve went off he looked over, smiled and gave me the thumbs up and we both took our separate off ramps. Not a race, but hot damn was that a beautiful car.
Two real car guys doing with their cars as they should. And mutual respect. That's what it's all about. :TU:
